Tatasteel 2025
Vom 18. Januar bis 2. Februar findet die 87. Auflage des Tata Steel Schachturniers im holländischen Küstenstädtchen Wijk aan Zee statt. Es gibt wieder eine Meister- und eine Herausforderer- sowie viele Amateurgruppen. Vincent Keymer im A- und Frederik Svane im B-Turnier vertreten die deutschen Farben.

A-Turnier Meistergruppe
Die A-Gruppe erreicht in diesem Jahr die Kategorie XX (2726) und ist damit etwas stärker besetzt als im Vorjahr. Damals hatte der Chinese Wei Yi sich im Stichkampf durchgesetzt. Weltmeister Gukesh bestreitet sein erstes Turnier nach dem WM-Sieg, außerdem sind die Nr. 2 und 3 der Weltrangliste, Fabiano Caruana und Arjun Erigaisi, am Start.
